In celebration of the Portuguese Language and CPLP’s Culture Day, the Permanent Representatives of the countries of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries hosted a concert and reception that took place on May 7, 2015, at the Dag Hammarskjöld Library, at the United Nations, in New York.

This yearly event pays tribute to the Portuguese language, official language of around 250 million people, in 4 continents. It was a lively evening with a musical performance that incorporated several traditional music genres from the hosting countries and culinary delights by the Portuguese Chef Luísa Fernandes.
